Terms of service

Effective 16 October 2026.

These terms are a contract between you and Helix Platforms Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 17032196. Registered office: Unit 2 Lions Barn, Langham Lane, Colchester, CO4 5HY. We trade as RAMSPack. Contact support@ramspack.com.

If you use RAMSPack, or you pay for it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

RAMSPack is an online tool that helps you draft a risk assessment and method statement from a hazard library and the details you enter, review the sections, and export a PDF or a Word file. It is a drafting aid. It is not a competent person, and it does not supervise the work.

Hazard library entries are labelled “draft – awaiting competent review” until a competent person has reviewed them. That label is about the library. You still have to check every RAMS before you rely on it.

Accounts

A subscription needs an account. A single-document purchase can be made without one. Give a working email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on the account. Do not create an account if you are under 18. If you buy for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to bind it.

A Team plan shares one company profile, its operatives, and its documents, up to the number of seats on that plan. A Consultant plan adds client folders. Sharing a login beyond the seats on the plan is not allowed.

Your responsibility for each RAMS

You are responsible for ensuring this RAMS is suitable and sufficient for your work and site, and you should get competent advice where needed. RAMSPack does not claim that any document is HSE approved, compliant, or guaranteed to be accepted. The Health and Safety Executive does not approve RAMS documents.

You must check that each RAMS is suitable and sufficient for the work and the site before anyone relies on it. Get competent advice where you need it. Do not tell a client, a principal contractor, or a worker that a document is HSE approved, or that it is guaranteed to be accepted, because it is not.

Subscriptions

Solo, Team, and Consultant plans are sold by the month or by the year, at the price shown before you pay. A subscription renews automatically for the same period, at the price then in force, until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from the billing page, or by emailing support@ramspack.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access to the paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not give a partial refund for the unused part of that period.

One-off documents

A single-document purchase is a one-off payment for one RAMS, without a watermark. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. It does not include a logo. The price is the price shown on that document before you pay.

Consumer cancellation and immediate access

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to cancel a distance contract for digital content. That right ends once we have started to supply the digital content, if you have expressly asked us to start during the 14 days and you have acknowledged that you will lose the right once supply starts.

Checkout asks you to tick: “I want access straight away and understand I lose my 14-day right to cancel once the document is generated.” That tick is your express request to start immediately, and your acknowledgement that the 14-day right ends once the document is generated. We store the time of that tick. We will not start a paid checkout without it.

We ask for the same tick whether or not you are a consumer, because we may not know which you are, and because the document is supplied straight away. A trader buying for a business does not have the 14-day consumer cancellation right.

If you are a consumer and you want to wait until the 14 days have passed before the document is generated, do not complete checkout. Email support@ramspack.com instead. We will not supply the digital content during the cancellation period unless you have given the acknowledgement above.

Refunds

We do not refund a subscription for change of mind once a period has started, and we do not refund the unused days after you cancel. You keep access until the period ends.

We do not refund a one-off document for change of mind once it has been generated, where you gave the acknowledgement in the section above. The 14-day consumer right has then ended.

If we take a payment and do not supply what you paid for, or we charge the wrong amount, email support@ramspack.com and we will refund the amount paid in error.

Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any particular purpose you made known, and as described. If it is not, we will repair it, replace it, or refund it as that Act requires.

VAT

Helix Platforms Ltd is not registered for VAT. We do not charge VAT. The price shown is the amount you pay. Prices in US dollars exclude sales tax, which we do not add.

Acceptable use

Intellectual property

You own the RAMS documents you create, including the text you write and the file you export for your work. We do not claim ownership of your documents. You give us a licence to host and process them only so we can provide the service. That licence ends when the document is deleted, except where the privacy notice says we keep a record.

The software, the website, and the hazard library belong to us or our licensors. Using library text inside a document you create does not transfer the library to you. You may use the finished document for the job it was written for, including sending it to a client.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if a payment fails and stays unpaid, or if the law requires it. You may stop using RAMSPack at any time. Fees already due for the current period stay due. You can delete account data from the account page, as the privacy notice describes. Sections on liability, intellectual property, and governing law continue after the contract ends.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that the law of England and Wales does not allow us to exclude or limit.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, contracts, or goodwill. Our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the service, in any 12-month period, is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the previous 12 months.

The service drafts documents from a library and from what you enter. We are not liable for a document that is unsuitable for a site, or for work carried out under it, except where the paragraph on death, personal injury, and fraud applies.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version on this page applies, and it shows the effective date. If a change affects a subscription, we will email the address on the account at least 14 days before it applies. It then applies from the next renewal, unless the law requires us to apply it sooner. If you do not agree, cancel before that renewal. The period you have already paid for stays on the terms in force when you paid.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in the United Kingdom, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, where the law gives you that right.
